Five Metrics for evaluation(A)

The potential customer visits Intercom website for obtaining more information​ about
problem-solving solutions and evaluating intercom capability while the current customer uses it
to seek for new modules information, check their account, and ask for the online support.
Therefore, I consider that the five key metrics to estimate the quality of Intercom Website are
Visitor, Bounce rate, Time on the page, Conversion Rate, and Engagement.

● Visitor
Due to the ranking factors from Google announcement like the domain name, keyword
in subdomain name, recency of Content Updates etc., those factors should be included
from the website design stage. In off-page, the number of homepage visitor is essential
to measure whether the keyword is appropriate such as headline and offer. The number
of the guests is less than the expectation; we should do some actions. Similarly, in
on-page SEO, the number of each page visitor shows the distribution of traffics. Do they
go through the path we guided smoothly or hesitate because of confusing information
and messy website design? The number of each page visitor answers it.

● Bounce rate
When they come, they leave. The figure of Bounce rate in each page has the different
meaning. On the homepage, it directly shows how our advertising is attractive. Do we
convey our solution clearly to convince new visitor at their first glance? When visitors
click the banner or button move to the new page, they get the correct answer for what
they look for or some pages on our website is redundant and unnecessary. In price
page, the bounce rate shows that the budget expectation between the target segment
and us is matching.

● Time on Page
For new startups with complicated products or solutions, this metric is significantly
important since the number means that how the quality of clear and precise information
we organized is. If the page just has a few words or less information, it still takes visitors
for a long time, our website design will burn customer’s patience out before they move to
the conversion stage. Also, once the page not only kills our customers’ time but also
raises many efforts in Live Chat in order to explain more, we should optimize it.
